I'm really digging this cut. The fullness is nothing short of spectacular. I think my face would feel suffocated with all that hair around it but for those of you who don't have problems with face claustrophobia. Do it.

I do love the whole idea of some beautiful pink on those ombre ends but the idea of colouring your hair pink and then having to sit through a not so pretty fade out,  is somewhat disheartening. Enter the genius of Kevin murphy....he has released a new product called the colour bug....A bright pink/purple/orange ball of goodness that washes out!!! I don't sell KM in salon and the only online option I can see is that it will be in The Department Store in AKL.......not so great for us Southern ladies....

Before you all let out a collective groan....FEAR NOT!!! for i found the answer....I stumbled across an old KM video (pre colour bug) where he says you can acheive these candy pink ends by using none other than eyeshadow!!!

I hear that cheap 'designer brands' eyeshadow calling my name...until then.... here are some pics to get you inspired.

My hair idol

She's been rocking her surfer style blown out balayaged ends (re: ombre = it's slightly more extroverted younger sister) since Alexa Chung was at high school and Drew Barrymore had a full head bleach.....this look may be on trend but it will never go out of style....like a natural looking face, stripes, and a camel trench this look IS and always WILL be a staple!!!

oh, in case you didn't notice...I heart her!!!

KDHD 2.0

We are back in action. Well, I say ‘we’ but I really mean ‘I’. KDHD the second time around is just me, myself and I.

I have set up a small studio where we are living post 22.02 and as much as I would have loved to, I simply can not fit Jasmine or Becks in with me!!

The new space is small and warm, bright and light and over the side of town where earthquakes don’t squeeze tons of sludge out of the ground. I’m absolutely loving it to be honest and quite looking forward to living and working from home once again.
